# Sign the Notice of Exclusive Control

> Sign the notice that instructs your bank to honor Masterpiece Labs's control of the DACA account; Masterpiece Labs countersigns after you sign.

The Notice of Exclusive Control is the second Docusign envelope in the finalization flow. It instructs your bank to treat Masterpiece Labs as the party with control of the DACA account, which is what makes repayment enforceable.

## Signing order

You sign the notice first. Masterpiece Labs countersigns after you finish; that keeps Masterpiece Labs's signature dated after yours, which is what the bank expects.

## When the step opens

The notice becomes available once your DACA setup status has moved past `Not Opened`. Until then, the step is locked in the app.

  Docusign Connect confirms completion the same way it does for the loan agreement. The app marks the step complete only after that server-side confirmation.

  As with the loan agreement, a declined or voided envelope blocks re-signing for the same type. Reach out to Masterpiece Labs if you need a fresh envelope.

## After signing

Once both signatures are recorded, Masterpiece Labs submits the notice to your bank. You can move on to proof of remittance while the bank acknowledges it.
